Cottage Capsule – Let‘s look a lil closer

My last post brought me into conversation with a few people which I really enjoyed and one of them asked for more details and then proceeded to radically throw out clothes from their wardrobe. I‘m staying in touch with them to learn how it works out for them but just the news that somebody was so inspired by my idea made me a bit proud ♡

So, for some time it‘s been a thing for me to share my thoughts and ideas about fashion, usually on Insta. Fashion is just a real hobby and piece of lifestyle for me, as it is to many people. But I want to take this a step further and figured, I have a blog and that is probably the right place to really go into the details of these things hah!

Today I would like to briefly describe my ideas so anyone interested know what‘s coming but also as a way for me to look back and see what I‘m thinking today.

Last post was about the theoretical details of how I imagine my own capsule wardrobe. What became clear there is that I‘m not striving to have as little as possible clothes which is usually the goal for people starting a capsule wardrobe. I definitely still like to have a good choice of garments to combine and have fun with but I want to own a clever choice of garments that are versatile, work in many combinations, for many events and ideally for all seasons. So, I‘m still introducing some minimalism into my life, though not by having just a few clothes, but by carefully choosing garments and curating my wardrobe and ending up with clothes I really appreciate and also really do wear.

We‘ve covered the theoretical aspects, so future posts on this topic will be about the practical side of things, and detailed as well.
I would like to upload every single garment in my cottage capsule and also style looks that showcase just how versatile each item is.

My plan is to first have a post for each of my 8 colours and show all the garments in that colour category. I figured that this would also be a good place to review each and every item and maybe even include the links to where to get the ones that are still available.

When I was nearing the completion of my cottage capsule I posted a poll on my insta story and 90% of people voted that they want to see that, my full collection of clothes. I made my mind up about how to share this. I have two instagram pages, one is my main where I post lifestyle things all in my green academia aesthetic and the other is one especially working as a small fashion blog. I thought the fashion blog would be the perfect site to share a heap of photos relating to my cottage capsule but Insta isn‘t fit for text so I‘m splitting that up a bit. Some people also don‘t care for the details and just want to see the photos so that‘s another plus point for them in that case hah!

I use my Insta pages to get in touch with people and since photos and videos are a thing for Insta most of that content is going up on there. I also really have to train myself to understand that a lot of content can go up on my blog as well lol. So I think I‘m going to try and just upload more outfit posts on here as well. The fast pace of Instagram and it‘s algorithms aren‘t always fun to use anyway.

Sooo, I saw in my blog stats that my page is getting a little more attention and I have quite a couple more views per week than I expected and really hope that everybody who isn‘t here for the fashion content still enjoys it haha.

Anyway, that‘s what I thought and I wanted to share that before diving into posting the things I talked about ♡
Thanks for reading and for being here
